Boutique massage · Staten Island
Nine rooms. Twelve years. One family.
Since 2013, we've been the South Shore's neighborhood center for therapeutic massage and skincare — customized to your body, never off a list.
What we do
Your therapist asks where it hurts before they start, then blends whichever techniques your body actually needs that day.
Custom, prenatal, and couples sessions. Nine modalities blended by a licensed therapist — deep tissue, Swedish, sports, reflexology and more.
Massage & pricingA dedicated esthetics room with a licensed esthetician. Facials, designer peels, dermaplaning, microdermabrasion, and a full waxing menu.
Skincare & pricingA dedicated couple's room, two therapists, one hour. Bring whoever needs it most — it's the room that books out first on weekends.
Couples massageNo membership, no package, no catch — the introductory rate is simply what a first visit costs here. Come in, tell your therapist where it hurts, and find out whether this is your place.
Claim your first visitOne monthly fee, up to 25% off everything, and a 60-minute session credit each month. Unused sessions roll over. No contract, no lock-in.
How membership worksRedeemable against anything on the menu, and it arrives by email in about a minute — which makes it a very good last-minute save.
Tell it where it hurts, or how you want to feel afterwards, and it points you at the right session. Pricing, parking, what actually happens on a first visit. Ask at 11pm on a Sunday and you still get a straight answer, drawn from this center's real pricing, hours and policies.

Our story
You can tell within thirty seconds whether a place is taking care of you or processing you. Whether anyone asked how you were doing. Whether they remembered you. Whether you're a person or the four o'clock.
Darren and Michele Carbone spent years running a Brooklyn restaurant before they opened this place, and in that business the difference is the entire job. It's why your therapist asks questions before they start, why nobody hurries you out of the room, and why the front desk usually remembers what you booked last time.
Six of their children work here now. When they say family owned, they mean the family is in the building.Read our story
In our guests' words
A 4.8 star average on Google, and twelve years of regulars who keep coming back.
"I had a long term masseuse I used to go to in the city every 3 weeks for the last 6 years. I am so happy to find a local place, whose prices are reasonable. I'm already putting myself on a schedule for every 2 weeks."
"Been going here for about 5 years now, and everything has always been great. I bounce around between therapists without worry because they are all fantastic. The facility is very clean, and the atmosphere is very relaxing."
"Dean is the best massage therapist in the game. The price is a steal for a wonderful massage. The staff at LaVida is always wonderful. It's the perfect place to relax at an affordable rate."
Before you book
The honest answers, including the ones people are too polite to ask at the front desk.
A 60-minute massage session is 50 minutes hands-on, plus time to undress, redress, and talk with your therapist before and after. That consultation is where we learn your concerns, customize the service, and send you off with at-home recommendations, so it's built into the session rather than taken out of it.
Undress to a level you're comfortable with. For a full-body massage most guests undress apart from their underwear, and your therapist works around whatever you leave on. If getting fully undressed would make you tense, don't — you won't relax, and you won't get the benefit. Your therapist steps out of the room while you get situated.
Tips are appreciated but never expected. If you've had exceptional service and want to show it, the usual range is 20–25%, and it can be added to a card or check.
Yes. There's free private lot parking right outside in South Shore Commons, and the center is wheelchair accessible.
Licensed massage therapists, estheticians, and front-desk associates. Nine rooms, a steady book of regulars, and scheduling built around your life.
Open seven days, with extended weekday hours. Booking takes about a minute.
12 years, 372 reviews, 4.8 stars, six of your kids working in it. That's the hard part, and it's already done. This is a look at what the front door could be, built on the LaVida brand you already own.
A modern multi-page site, designed so it can be re-skinned for the other locations.
An always-on front desk for the questions that arrive after you've closed.
The first LaVida in the five boroughs. Two restaurant people who bet on it. Six of your kids now working in the building. All of that is in your Yelp bio — the franchise template has nowhere to put it, so almost nobody who lands on your site ever finds out.
Everything across these eleven pages came from your own listings and reviews; only the photography is placeholder. Give me thirty minutes and I'll walk you through the rest of it and what it takes to put it live.
